Adding a newborn baby to an existing Fedhealth membership

Members must register babies within 30 days after they are born, or individual underwriting may apply. Your employee must tell your salary department that he/she is going to add a newborn as a dependant. Fedhealth does not charge for the baby for the month in which the baby is born.

  • The member must complete The Member Record Amendment Form, and a copy of the baby’s birth certificate or notification of birth from the hospital must be attached
  • Payroll needs to be updated with a new dependant’s contribution due for the next month, as Fedhealth does not charge for the month in which a baby is born
  • The baby’s ID number must be submitted to Fedhealth as soon as the baby is registered.
