Fedhealth’s Oncology Disease Management Programme has been structured especially to support members with cancer. Our team is made up of highly skilled healthcare professionals who work in conjunction with your doctor to ensure that the treatment you receive is both clinically appropriate and cost-effective. Our team is also supported by a number of oncologists and haematologists from the private, public and academic sectors.
What does the programme include?
Depending on your specific Fedhealth option, our Oncology Disease Management Programme gives you the following benefits:
- Access to the Independent Clinical Oncology Network (ICON)
- Coverage for chemotherapy, radiotherapy and associated medicine
- Consultations and visits
- Pathology
- Radiology
- Specialised radiology (e.g. CT scans, MRIs, angiography, radio-isotopes)
- PET scans
- Surgery and hospitalisation
- Stoma therapy
- Terminal care and private nursing
