Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run postponed due to COVID-19

Following President Cyril Ramaphosa’s national address on Sunday, 30 May 2021, that announced a return to Lockdown Level 2 for South Africa in light of a possible third wave of COVID-19 infections, Fedhealth Medical Scheme has decided to postpone the Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and the Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run events that were slated to take place on Saturday 5 June and Sunday 6 June, respectively.

This decision was not taken lightly. Says Jeremy Yatt, Fedhealth Principal Officer: “We deeply regret having to postpone these events at ATKV Buffelspoort this coming weekend. But, as a responsible player in the health sector, Fedhealth is simply not willing to risk the health and safety of any participant at our events. Furthermore, we are fully supportive of all government initiatives intended to prevent the spread of the pandemic and lower the pressure put on hospitals during this critical time.”

COVID-19 permitting, the Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and the Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run will hopefully take place towards the end of August 2021.
