Members must register babies within 30 days after they are born, or individual underwriting may apply. Your employee must tell your salary department that he/she is going to add a newborn as a dependant. Fedhealth does not charge for the baby for the month in which the baby is born.
- The member must complete The Member Record Amendment Form, and a copy of the baby’s birth certificate or notification of birth from the hospital must be attached
- Payroll needs to be updated with a new dependant’s contribution due for the next month, as Fedhealth does not charge for the month in which a baby is born
- The baby’s ID number must be submitted to Fedhealth as soon as the baby is registered.
