Annual Dependant Review

Every year, Fedhealth conducts reviews on certain dependants. The following process applies:

  • Annual Student Review: takes place annually in February. One letter and two reminders are sent monthly to members. A confirmation letter stating receipt/acceptance of information is sent to the member and then the dependant remains on student status (child rates) for another year. If no response is received, however, the contributions will be raised to adult status.
  • Overage Review: applies to child status dependants over the age of 27. This will take place annually linked to the birth date of the dependant. One letter and two reminders are sent monthly to members. A confirmation letter stating receipt/acceptance of information is sent and then the dependant remains on special status for another year. OR if no response is received, the dependant is terminated.
  • Age Review: refers to all dependants over the age of 21 except students. This takes place annually, linked to the birthdate of the dependant. One letter and two reminders are sent monthly to members. A confirmation letter stating receipt/acceptance of information is sent, and then the dependant remains on child status for another year. If no response is received, adult dependant rates will be charged.
  • Special Dependant Review: refers to parents, siblings, grandparents, foster children, NOT including disabled dependants. This takes place on the anniversary of the start date of the dependant. One letter and two reminders are sent monthly to members. A confirmation letter stating receipt/acceptance of information is sent and then the dependant remains on special status for another year. If no response is received, the dependant’s membership is terminated.
