What happens when a Member on our company’s scheme dies?

Should a principal member die, their dependants may remain on the scheme. Fedhealth will require a certified copy of the death certificate together with any other details, for example, new banking details. This must be accompanied by a letter requesting continuation of membership and nominating the new principal member. The family should contact the Fedhealth AE or the Customer Contact Centre to request the changes to be made.
The new principal member can either remain on Fedhealth as a direct paying member or through the deceased member’s employer group. The latter depends on the agreement between the new principal member and the deceased‘s employer group.
