WHAT DOES IT COVER?
From just R965p/m, flexiFEDSavvy gives you solid network in-hospital cover at a great price WITH the choice to fund your day-to-day benefits in one of four ways. We also enable you to use convenient digital self-service platforms to manage your membership – no boring call centre calls here.
- Unlimited private network hospitalisation using a very extensive hospital network so you’re always covered.
- Unlimited in-hospital cover for network GPs and specialists.
- Unlimited virtual GP consults and 3 in-person consults.
While this is a hospital plan, you’re still covered for 27 chronic diseases as listed on the Chronic Disease List (CDL). This means you get unlimited cover for diseases on the CDL at a Preferred Provider (see below). Basic formulary and the Medicine Price List (MPL) apply.

- Enjoy one preventative screening per year with a contracted wellness network provider including waist-to-hip ratio, body fat %, flexibility, posture, and fitness assessments.
- Upgrade to a higher option within 30 days of a life-changing event, like a pregnancy or the diagnosis of a dread disease.
- Phone our 24-hour toll-free Nurse Line for expert medical and health advice from qualified nurses.
- We cover the GoSmokeFree Smoking Cessation Programme to help you quit your smoking habit for good!
Unique Fedhealth Benefits:
- Female contraception: We cover oral and certain injectables (prescribed by a GP or gynae, and not prescribed for acne).
- We cover take-home medicine for seven days per hospital event at 100% of the Medicine Price List.
- If you need to go to hospital, we’ll cover your follow-up treatment for 30 days once you get discharged, like physio, x-rays and pathology.
- Benefit from trauma treatment at a casualty ward, whether you’re admitted to hospital or not. A R660 co-payment will apply per visit for non-PMBs (if you’re not admitted to hospital straight from casualty).
- Enjoy unlimited specialised radiology at PMB level of care from Risk if you get pre-authorisation from us. Out-of-hospital specialised radiology is subject to day-to-day benefits.
CHOOSE YOUR DAY-TO-DAY REPAYMENT STRUCTURE
On flexiFED, you choose how to structure your day-to-day benefits. Either use your flexiFED option as a hospital plan only and pay for your own day-to-day expenses, use it as a savings plan to get a set amount of day-to-day savings that you pay back in equal portions from January each year, or use it as a flexible savings plan and only pay for what you’ve used interest free over 12 months.
